Panna Cotta Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons unflavored gelatin
- 2 tablespoons cold water
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over the cold water and let it sit for about 5 minutes to soften.
- In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream and sugar over medium heat. Stir until the sugar is dissolved, and the mixture is hot but not boiling.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Add the gelatin mixture to the cream mixture and stir until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
- Pour the mixture into ramekins or dessert glasses. Allow it to cool to room temperature.
- Refrigerate the Panna Cotta for at least 4 hours or until it is set.
- Before serving, you can garnish it with fresh berries, fruit compote, or a drizzle of caramel sauce if desired.
